Cottonwood - Hill Country Community Theater
Oliver
Based on the Dickens novel, it will engage you with its pathos and drama, while delighting everyone with its outstanding musical numbers. Food, Glorious Food, I’d Do Anything, Where is Love?, Consider Yourself, As Long As He Needs Me, Who Will Buy and Reviewing the Situation are musical theatre classics. Dickens’ characters are brought to life-perhaps larger than life-with all their facets glowing in this production. Auditions will be held April 7th & 8th, parts for 1 man, 3 women, 3 boys and a large singing ensemble with numerous small roles.

Marble Falls Lakeside Park
Walkway of Lights
Let yourself imagine over ONE MILLION tiny, twinkling lights on 130 sculptures reflecting on the sparkling waters of beautiful Lake Marble Falls. As you stroll leisurely on the shoreline, experience a place where dreams are made. The spirit of the entire community culminates during the Winter Holiday Season in Marble Falls, Texas, at the Walkway of Lights!
The self-guided winter wonderland walk will dazzle you with the largest lighted pole-tree boasting over 17,000 multi-colored lights and a lighted tunnel touting over 12,000 clear bulbs.
Located only 45 miles west of Austin and 85 miles north of San Antonio on Hwy. 281, the Walkway of Lights and community of Marble Falls plays host to visitors from near and far. Since 1991, people from as far away as South America, Asia, Europe, Japan and Canada along with many citizens from across the United States have joined in celebrating with local and second-home residents in the area.
The lighted extravaganza is developed each year by hundreds of dedicated volunteers who are committed to the production of this major project each year. The local community volunteers nightly to ensure viewing opportunities to visitors. The expansion and continuation of the Walkway of Lights is 100% dependent on your generous donations. Admission is free to the public but donations are cheerfully and gratefully accepted.
We invite you to arrive early to dine, shop and visit the Walkway of Lights in Lakeside Park located immediately west of the Hwy. 281 river bridge. Walkway display hours are nightly from November 21, 2008, through January 3, 2009, with illumination beginning at 6:00 p.m. and closing at 10:00 p.m. Santa is available for pictures on Thursday from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. as well as Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.
